Family work is seen as an essential component in your child’s placement at Virtual Connections Academy.  The individual therapist assigned to your student will set up regular family therapy sessions that occur on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis depending on the goals and needs of your family.  During family therapy, the therapist will work with your family and your student to set mutual goals, improve communication and address any other specific concerns that the student, family, or therapist feel would be helpful to address in family sessions.  Family sessions take place at the students home, virtually, or in the VCA building.
